Iain has been in the construction industry for over 20 years as a Construction Site Manager, Senior Manager, HSEQ Manager, and latterly a Director, finally taking the decision to start his own company in October 2023.

I feel very strongly about keeping people safe, and delivering a level of service that I would hope for myself, with attention to detail.

Unfortunately, in today's world with commercial pressures, availability of labour, and the volatility of the work market, there is sometimes disparity in the levels of service provided.

I also offer a range of project management duties on behalf of the client, ensuring that they are represented adequately and that projects are carried out within timescales, budgets and specifications.

I decided to start a company that offered Health and Safety advice and support to companies, who would not justify engaging someone full time, but who would benefit from a service that was available to them, offering realistic and practical advice and solutions.

LifeRing has given me an opportunity to speak to clients and prove that Health and Safety does not need to be daunting, it does not need to be a problem – it can instead be: engaging, simple, easy to understand, and with the help of LifeRing, it doesn’t just give you somewhere to record your findings – but by recording your findings – the system helps you to understand the root causes, and allow you to prepare for dealing with the problem at source.
